Leaders know their most valuable asset is people; NOT things.
Pastor Wilma recommends Dr. John Maxwell's work on leadership laws and teamwork. Also, the Model Church is good training.
1. Without a vision people perish. Think on vision for the work you've been called to.
2. The battle is not yours, it is the Lord's. Doesn't that take a load off?
3. People are born a few days and full of trouble. If you have people to care for, you have trouble. Don't let that overwhelm you or steer the ship.
4. Invest in one life a day. It needs to cost you something you value. Like David needing an altar, don't give the Lord anything that costs you nothing.
5. Find prayer partners who will pray for you daily.
6. 65% of the people need to be involved in the work. Assess your situation and your people. Move toward this goal.
7. Arsenals are great; but manna is needed fresh daily. Don't go to your calling without fresh manna from the Word. Too many cold sandwiches and not enough fresh, hot food gets old quick.
